Invitation to Friend Event – River Cane Symposium, Tues. 5/22

State of Cane Symposium
Tuesday, May 22
9:00 am-1:30 pm
Birdtown Community Center
in Cherokee

       Join RTCAR in discussion about accomplishments, challenges, and issues in river cane restoration and preservation. River Cane is an environmentally and culturally important plant used by the Eastern Band of Cherokee in their most traditional basketry forms. RTCAR partners from watershed organizations and land trusts will be on the program to talk about their projects.
The symposium is free but please sign up by May 18 to be included in the lunch count. For more information or to sign up please contact RTCAR at 554-6925 or 554-6856 at our office at Cooperative Extension.
